James Simmons

James D. Simmons, 77, of Lancaster, passed away on Wednesday, April 11, 2018.

James retired from Lancaster Municipal Gas after 30 years of service.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret Simmons; Margaret’s sons, Duane (Amy) Boyer and their son, Henry, and Jason Boyer and his son, Ryan; brother, Sherman (Agnes) Simmons of McMinnville, Tennessee; and sister, Pearl Hatch of Tennessee.

James was preceded in death by his brothers, Otis Simmons and William “Junior” D. Simmons; and his parents, Thurman Dennie Simmons and Patti Simmons.

A private family interment will be held in Zeigler Lutheran Cemetery, Lancaster. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of James to the Pleasant Township Fire Department, 2925 Lancaster- Thornville Rd. NE, Lancaster, OH 43130.
