James Russell

: James C. Russell age 80 of Lancaster passed away Friday, September 07, 2012 at
Fairfield Medical Center. He was born August 24, 1932 in Lancaster to the late Albert and Mary Hutsler
Russell.

James was a member of Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church and a man of strong Christian faith.
He was a graduate of Lancaster High School and a veteran of the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Marine Corp.
James was a Lancaster Police Officer, Teacher at Lancaster High School, and Lancaster City Auditor.
James was an active member of the Democratic Party.

James is survived by his wife of 54 years Joyce Russell of Lancaster; sons, Eric (Cheri) Russell of
Lancaster and James C. Russell of Columbus; daughters, Terri Lynn Russell of Columbus and Elizaabeth
(Dean) Borgan of Sugar Grove; brother, Ted (Pat) Russell of Lancaster; grandchildren, Jared Russell,
Sarah Borgan, James Borgan, Ethan Russell, Alexandra Borgan, and Jessica Russell. In addition to his
parents he is preceded in death by his brother, Charles E. Russell and his sister, Judy Hale.

Funeral service will be 10:30 am Tuesday in the FRANK E.SMITH FUNERAL HOME,405 N. Columbus St.,
Lancaster OH 43130, with Pastor Todd Noland officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery on
George Rd. Friends may call at the funeral home 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm Monday.

Memorial may be given in his name to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, Mid-Ohio Chapter, 950
Michigan Avenue, Columbus OH 43215.
