James "Jim" Kraft

James “Jim” F. Kraft 89 of Lancaster, Ohio died Sunday, May 6, 2018 at Ohio Wexner Medical Center.

He served in the US Army and was a retired inspector for Diamond Power Specialty Co. with 42 years of service. He was a staff man for AFL-CIO, president of the Local Union at Diamond Power Specialty Co., loved hunting, fishing and golfing.

Jim is survived by his son, Terry (Miriam) Kraft of Lancaster, Ohio; grandchildren, Jonathan M. (Nicole) Kraft, Cindy (Ryan Wharton) Kraft; great grandchildren, Kyleigh and Cyrus Wharton; sister, Linda Goss of Rockbridge, Ohio and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Delma D. Kraft, son, Richard E. Kraft, parents, John C. and Mary Ellen Sims Kraft, brother, John Kraft and Sister, Phyllis Karshner.

A celebration of Life service will be held Friday, May 11, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. in the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 405 N. COLUMBUS ST., LANCASTER, OHIO 43130 with Pastor Jeff Graf officiating. Caring Cremation® has taken place. Friends may visit 1 hour prior to the service on Friday at the funeral home. Inurnment will be at Fairview Cemetery, Rockbridge, Ohio at a later date.
