James Jim W. Evans, Jr. 46 of Lancaster, Ohio went home to be with his Savior on Sunday, October 2, 2011 at the Pickering House.
Jim was a car salesman for Bob-Boyd Ford, a graduate of Lancaster High School Class of 1984 and enjoyed camping fishing and working on cars.
He is survived by his wife of 13 years, Doreen M. Robberts Evans; children, Carleen, Cassandra, Jimmy, and Dalton; mother, Beverly Bradford of Lancaster, Ohio; brothers, Mike (Tammy) Smith of Crooksville, Ohio and Mark Smith of Lancaster, Ohio; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Carl and Helen Watters Robberts of Thornville, Ohio; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Brenda (Dick Mentz) Swyers of Lancaster, Ohio and Pam and Duane Robberts of Thornville, Ohio; special friends, Susan Howson and Michael ODell.
A thank you to the staff of the Pickering House and FairHoPe hospice for their care of Jim.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Chet Smith, sister, Carla Smith Collin, grandparents, James and Juanita Evans, and brother-in-law, Leon Owen Robberts.
Funeral service will be held Wednesday, October 5, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 405 N. COLUMBUS ST., LANCASTER, OHIO 43130 with Pastors Bill Brown and William Syfert officiating. Burial to follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Baltimore, Ohio. Friends may visit Tuesday from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
