James Beaty

James R. Beaty, 72, of Lancaster, OH, passed away December 1, 2015 at East Ohio Region Hospital, Martins Ferry, OH.

Jim was born May 14, 1943 in Fairfield County, OH to John and Mary Beaty. He retired from Anchor Hocking where he was a mold maker for 42 years. He was a veteran of the 82nd Airborne. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, and cherished moments with his family. He never knew a stranger, and would help do anything for his family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all. We love you!

He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Billie Beaty; sons, Rick (Sheri) Beaty of Lancaster, David Beaty of Lancaster, and Chris (Melissa) Beaty of Amanda; grandchildren, Harley and friend Taylor Cyrus, Hannah, Lindsey, and Seth; sister, Joyce (John) Shoemaker and nieces, Marci Stidham and Kendra (Shawn) Thomas and sons, Colton McCreary and Gavin Miller.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, John and Mary Beaty, and brother, Tim Beaty.

Jim gave the gift of life through organ donation. Caring Cremation will trake place through the Frank E. Smith Funeral Home. A memorial service will take place at a later date.
