James A. Austin

James A. Austin, 85 of Lancaster, Ohio passed away Sunday, February 20, 2022 at Fairfield Medical Center.

He was born on March 12, 1936 in Lancaster, Ohio and was a Lancaster High School graduate Class of 1954. James was a Korean Conflict veteran serving as a Staff Sargent in the US Air Force.

James was a retired Machinist for Anchor Hocking Glass Corp. with 32 years of service and later owned and operated his own machine shop, Skills Unlimited until he retired.

He is survived by his wife, Anne; sons Tod (Malia) Austin and Ty Austin al of Lancaster, Ohio; grandchildren, Megan (Corey) Steen and Lauren Austin and Nicholas Bermoy and several nieces and nephews.

James was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Edith Austin, twin sister Judy Brown and sister Beverly Stanhagen.

Caring Cremation® has taken place by the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, LANCASTER, OHIO.  A private inurnment will be held at Forest Rose Cemetery.
