Jacqueline Queen

Jacqueline “Jackie” Faith Queen, 69, passed away peacefully in her sleep on May 11, 2016, at home with her beloved husband of nearly 50 years by her side.

Jackie, with her dear husband George, enjoyed her retirement in Lancaster, OH and San Diego, CA, spending time with their two children and families. Jackie was a devoted and supportive grandmother, mother, sister, aunt and friend, who was always truly kind and joyful to everyone. A master quilter, she taught quilt classes and created hundreds of quilts for family, friends and blessed recipients of the prayer quilt ministry in San Diego, and enjoyed participating in the Olivedale Quilt Charms group in Lancaster. She volunteered with the Lancaster Vineyard Church Food Pantry, and Presbyterian Urban Ministries in San Diego. During her career, she worked as a nurse, preschool teacher, wooden toy and craft artist, quilting instructor and retirement home activities director.

In addition to her husband, Jackie is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Brian and Katie Queen and grandchildren Morgan, 19, Elizabeth, 17, and Ting, 8, of Sugar Grove; daughter and son-in-law Cynthia Queen and Mike Yoder and grandsons Nathan, 17, Ryan, 13, and Brendan, 12, of San Diego, CA; four sisters, one brother and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services will be held Tuesday, May 17, at 11 a.m. at Vineyard Church, 431 Whiley Road SW, Lancaster, OH 43130. Interment will be held in the San Francisco Bay Area.
