Jacqueline Holbrook

Jacqueline “Granny” Holbrook, 85, of Baltimore, passed away on Friday, June 1, 2018, at Mount Carmel East Hospital. Jackie was born February 24, 1933, in Millersport, the oldest of 11 children, to the late Edward and Lucy (Crist) Gill.

Jackie was a proud graduate of Moxahala Schools in Perry County. She was a 1954 graduate of the Grant Hospital School of Nursing. She worked for 10 years as a surgical nurse with the Children’s Hospital ENT and she retired as the school nurse for the Southwest Licking School District after 35 years of service.

Jackie was a 61 year member of the Millersport Chapter #301 - Order of the Eastern Star, where she served as the Worthy Matron 18 times. She also served as a 4-H advisor for 35 years.

Jackie is survived by her children, Cathy (Paul) Smith, Cindi (Steve) Thompson, Edward (Jill) Holbrook, and Carla (Billy) Holbrook; grandchildren, Marcy, Katie, Jessica, Trevor, Jimmy, Mollie, Caren, Brandon, Autumn, Austin, Kelsey, and Amanda; and numerous great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her son, Billy Holbrook; and grandson, Little Billy.

Funeral service will be held at 1:30 PM Thursday at the Johnson-Smith Funeral Home, 207 S. Main St, Baltimore, Ohio 43105 with Reverend Jill Dunlap officiating. Family and friends may visit from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. An Eastern Star service will be held at 8:00 PM Wednesday following the visitation. Burial will take place at a later date.
