Jack Kiger 82 of Lancaster, Ohio died Saturday, April 12, 2014 at the Pickering House.
He was retired from Anchor Hocking Glass Corp. Plant 1. He was a Korean Conflict veteran serving in the US Army.
Jack is survived by his daughter, Sheree E. (Jeff) Baker of Lancaster, Ohio; sons, Lee Kiger and Chad (Brittany) Kiger all of Lancaster, Ohio; four grandchildren, Adam (Beth) Baker, Lacey (Travis) Kiger, Bailee Kiger, William Kiger all of Lancaster, Ohio and a grandchild due in August; four great-grandchildren, Lauren, Noah, Braiden and Trevin and former wife, Kathy Kiger of Lancaster, Ohio; a special thank you to the nieces and nephew for their special care and love for Jack; including Bev Wilbur, Carolyn (Luke) Pyle, Jackie ( Mike) Puckett, Becky (John) Manson, Lloyd (Mary) Crosby.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Chester and Ethel Kiger, sister, Norma Crosby and brother, Donald Kiger.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, April 19, 2014 at 10:00 am at Amanda Twp. Cemetery with Rev. Mike Puckett officiating. The Lancaster Veterans Burial Detail to conduct military rites at the cemetery. Caring Cremation® has taken place by the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 405 N. COLUMBUS ST., LANCASTER, OHIO 43130.
