Jack L. England, 80, passed peacefully away on April 5, 2015. He was born on October 29, 1934 to the late Paul and Margaret England. Jack enjoyed spending time with his granddaughter and great-grandchildren. He was an avid Indians and Browns fan, and loved to hunt, fish, and garden. He worked 42 years for United Technologies and after retirement, he spent time volunteering at his church, Mills United Methodist Church, and at the Olivedale Senior Center.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Veleda A. England; daughter, Jody (Marty) Fields; granddaughter, Sara (Beau) Ferguson; great-grandchildren, Kinsley and Kason Ferguson; his dog, Stumpy; siblings, Janis (James) Vickroy, Diane (Mark), and Rod (Rhonda) Irvin; and nephews, Tony and Philip England.
Jack is preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Margaret England; and brothers, Larry and Terry England.
The funeral service will take place on Thursday, April 9, 2015 at 11 a.m. at the Frank E. Smith funeral home located at 405 N. Columbus St. in Lancaster with Pastor Rita Brown officiating. Burial will follow the service at Maple Grove Cemetery in Lancaster. Friends and family may visit during calling hours Wednesday from 2-4p.m. and 6-8p.m. and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
