He was preceded in death by his mother and Grandfather, Jack Pyeatt

Survivors include his Dad and Stepmom, Judy Luke Pyeatt; sister, Kelli Pyeatt McClain and husband, Bryan McClain; stepsister,Rhonda Luke Rauch and husband, Jed Rauch; four nieces, René McClain, Naomi McClain,Noelle Rauch, Hannah Rauch; grandparents, Rev. Bennie and Helen Triplett,and Rev. Ralph and Dorothy Pyeatt Herring.

Matt attended Lee University (Cleveland, TN) and The Ohio State University.

He was a forklift driver in the warehouse industry. He enjoyed music, movies, reading, and his "stepmom" Judy's cooking. He loved his four nieces dearly!
