J. Jean "Cox" Liming

Rev. Robert “Bob” Quick, age 86, of Lancaster, formerly of Hideaway Hills, died September 25th, 2013 at the Pickering House. He was born on May 28th, 1927 in Marion, OH. He is a past United Methodist Pastor who was active in the West Ohio Conference, serving 14 churches during his career. In his retirement, he served as an interim pastor on three separate occasions at the Bremen Bethel Presbyterian Church and also was a missionary Pastor to Alaska for three additional churches. He is a member of the First United Methodist Church who loved going to Canada to fish and was an exceptional woodworker.
He is survived by his loving companion and dedicated preacher’s wife of 68 years, Rhoda A. Quick of Lancaster; children, Thomas (Alayne) Quick of Reynoldsburg, Carol Drury of Bowling Green, and Gerald (Patricia Adamski) Quick of Camden, MI; grandchildren, Jeremy Drury, Sarah Quick, Emily Schriver, and Noah R. Quick; great-grandchildren, Lillian, and Catherine Schriver, Jaiden Perez, Ian and Corbin Quick; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Marry Patton Quick; and sisters, Doris Rydel and Avis Jean Manley.

A memorial service will take place at the First United Methodist Church on Saturday, October 26th, at 11 AM, with a meal to follow. Caring Cremation® has taken place through the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME; burial will take place at the convenience of the family.
