Irene Saba

July 2, 1941 — September 2, 2015

Irene Sammons Saba 74 of Lancaster, Ohio passed away Wednesday, September 2, 2015 at Riverside Methodist Hospital.

She was a retired secretary for Lancaster City Schools. She was member of Good Shepherd Church and a member of the Red Hat Society.

Irene is survived by her husband of 41years, Gary Saba; daughter, Jennifer (Walter) Ziolo of Lancaster, Ohio; six grandchildren, Avery, Abby, Anna, Reileigh, Rowan and Rhett; sisters, Elizabeth (Robert) Moore of Ashville, NC and Betty Sue Sammons of Columbus, Ohio; brothers, Golden Sammons of Delaware, Ohio and Arlend (Kathy) Sammons of South Vienna, Ohio; several aunts, uncles and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Golden and Loraine Sammons.

A graveside service will be held Sunday, September 6, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. at Basil Memorial Cemetery, Baltimore, Ohio with Pastor James Dexter officiating. Friends may visit from 12:30-2:20 p.m. on Sunday at the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 405 N. COLUMBUS ST., LANCASTER, OHIO 43130.
