Irene Rice

Irene B. Rice, 84, of Lancaster, passed away on Saturday, November 16, 2013, at Crestview Manor with her family by her side.

Irene worked for Anchor Hocking. She also enjoyed her many years of volunteer work with Maywood Mission. She will be remembered as a very special, loving and caring mother and grandmother.

Irene is survived by her sons, Mark Rice and Bret (Peggy) Rice; daughter-in-law, Karen Rice; five grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Irene was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford P. Rice; son, Dave M. Rice; parents, Bernard Cruit and Eleanor and Willard Thorn; brother, Pat Cruit; and sister, Jeanne Conant.

Caring Cremation has taken place with the Frank E. Smith Funeral Home, Lancaster. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
