Howard J. Warner, of Sugar Grove, age 86, died on Friday April 12th, 2013 at Homestead Care and Rehabilitation Center. He was born on August 24th, 1926 to his parents, John Warner and Hattie Boyer; He served his country as a WWII Army Veteran. He was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church in Lancaster; Howard was a Realtor and owned his own brokerage, H. J. Warner Realty on E. Main, Lancaster; He was a founding member of Anglers Paradise and was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Margaret Warner of Sugar Grove; son, Wayne Warner of Zanesville; daughter-in-law, Toni Warner of Sugar Grove; grandsons, Jesse Warner and Daniel Warner; sisters, Shirley Heston, Helen (Fred) Walter, and Esther Shultz; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Jerry Warner, and infant son, Richard Warner.
A service will be held at 11:30AM Tuesday at the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME, officiated by Reverend Mark Raddatz. Burial will follow the service at Maple Grove Cemetery. Family and friends may call at 10:30AM Tuesday, one hour prior to the service, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Howards name to Emanuel Lutheran Church 231 E Mulberry St. Lancaster, OH 43130 or the American Cancer Society 5555 Frantz Rd. Dublin, OH 43107.
