Howard Bradford

Howard Bradford, of Lancaster, passed away on August 16 after a brief illness. He is survived by his wife, Jean; sons Clarence (Vickie) & James (Valeri), grandchildren Amy, Chris, Nick, Ashley, Brandon, Caleb & Christian, brothers Richard & Phil, as well as numerous great grandchildren & great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lee Roy & Mary, brothers Rod, Daniel (Tim), Clarence, Stanley, Owen, John, Bob, Jim, Harold, Fred, Paul Bitler, & sisters Dorothy, Daisy, Goldie, Hannah and Joyce.

He was a proud business owner and President of Mount Pleasant Builders Inc. as well as S&B Associates Inc. He was a loyal and loving husband, doting father & grandfather and a great friend to many; a dedicated fan of Ohio State Football & Lancaster High School Athletics. He loved to travel across the world with his wife and friends and across the country to visit family. He enjoyed playing cards, water skiing and ballroom dancing. Howard was a skilled carpenter with an insatiable work ethic and a dedication to improving his community. His big smile will be sorely missed.

A funeral service will take place on Monday, Aug. 22 at 10:30AM at the Frank E. Smith Funeral Home, 405 N Columbus St. Lancaster.  Burial will follow the service at Maple Grove Cemetery.  Family and friends may call from 12PM-2PM and 4PM-6PM on Sunday at the funeral home.  Online condolences can be made at www.funeralhome.com
