Henry Arebalo rode into the sunset to be with his Lord on November 6, 2015, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Preceded in death by his father, Domingo Arebalo, sister, Bettie Plumm and brother-in-law, Vernon Ford. Henry was born October 23, 1939, to Domingo and Virginia Arebalo in San Luis Obispo County, California. Henry moved to Ohio from California in 1969. He is survived by his mother, Virginia Arebalo; wife and the love of his life, Ann; his children: Cherie and Michael Martin, Tammy and Stephen Phelps, Teresa Arebalo, Carla and Cliff Wiltshire, Toby and Kimberly Arebalo; grandchildren, who were the light of his life; Michael, Wesley, Anthony, David, Cliff, Jr., Daniel and Rachel. Henry also is survived by his siblings, Joaquin and Wanda Arebalo, Evelyn Ford, Gloria Blanco, Mary Ellen Arebalo and Dennis Arebalo, brother-in-law Robert Plumm, numerous extended family members and longtime friend, Heinz Weirich. A longtime member of New Zion United Methodist Church, Henry retired from semi-truck driving for Capital Manufacturing after 21 years. He also was a demonstrator at Sam's Club and delivered meals to after-school programs for Himes Catering, but most recently could be found fishing or working in his yard. Henry was a friend to everyone who had the opportunity to know him. Even though he will be missed by all who knew and loved him, we are grateful for the example he set for us.
Caring Cremation has taken place through the Johnson-Smith Funeral Home. A celebration of his life will be held Saturday, November 21, 2015 at 12:00 PM at New Zion United Methodist Church 10991 Snyder Church Road Baltimore with internment at Union Evangelical Cemetery. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the celebration. We would like to extend a special thanks to Josie, Tammy, Tiffani, Vicki and others from Hospice of Central Ohio for the comfort provided to Henry in his final days. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to New Zion United Methodist Church or Hospice of Central Ohio. Online condolences can be made in Henrys name at www.funeralhome.com
