Helen Wharton

LANCASTER: Helen Wharton 92 of Lancaster, Ohio died Tuesday, May 10, 2011 at Heartland-Fairfield Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
She was retired from Reichold Chemical Inc. and did babysitting for friends, loved flowers and loved to read.
She is survived by her daughters, Sharon Griffith and Carolyn Garber; son, Gary Wharton all of Lancaster, Ohio; 5 grandchildren, Marlena (George) Marcum of Baltimore, Ohio, Aurena Griffith, Jason (Megan) Garber, Jamie (Leah) Garber all of Lancaster, Ohio, and Joe Wharton of Columbus, Ohio; 10 great grandchildren; sister, Wanda (James) Bright of Hilliard, Ohio; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Glenna Weaver, grandson, Jeff Wharton, sister, and 4 brothers. A special thank you to the staff and aides of Heartland-Fairfield Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and Heartland Hospice for their love and care of Helen.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, May 15, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. in the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERNAL HOME CHAPEL AND CREMATORY, 405 N. COLUMBUS ST., LANCASTER, OHIO 43130 with Pastor Bill Weaver officiating. Caring Cremation has taken place. Burial will be at the convenience of the family at a later date in Maple Grove Cemetery, Lancaster, Ohio. Friends may visit 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Sunday.
