Helen Marie Ressler 96 of Lancaster, Oh former resident of Canton, OH passed away Sunday, August 3, 2014 at the Pickering House. She was a retired bookkeeper for Beaver Petroleum Co. with 24 years of service and also retired from Friendly’s Restaurant.
She was a member of Zion United Methodist Church in Canton, American Business Women and founder of Whipple Heights Garden Club.
Helen is survived by her son, James (Christine) Swain of Loveland, OH; daughters, Nancy Foraker of Maineville, OH and Roberta Willaman of Lancaster, OH; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and good friend, Steve Norris.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Robert Ressler and James Bratt, infant son, George Ressler, parents, Andrew and Lillian Ferguson, brothers, Donald and Raymond Ferguson. Caring Cremation® has taken place by the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 405 N. COLUMBUS ST., LANCASTER, OH 43130.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church on Wheeling Street. A memorial service at New Life United Methodist Church will be held in October.
