Helen Pickett

Helen I. Pickett, age 87, of Lancaster, went to be with her Lord on March 5th, 2017. Aunt Helen, will be remembered as an avid bowler, 1947-1949 women’s softball player, and a diehard OSU fan.

Helen was survived by her nieces; Charlotte (Stephen) Thimmes, Barbara (C. Christopher) Claypool, and Monica Mickey; nephew, Joe (Kay) Mickey; great nieces and nephews, Shari (Gary) Boggs, Andrea Cuthbert, Christina (Andrew) Deem, Jennifer (Charles) Dunkin, Martha Claypool, S. Douglas Thimmes, Chad (Jodi) Mickey, Matthew (Sarah) Claypool, Brad (Rozy) Mickey; and many great-great nieces and nephews.

Helen was preceded in death by her mother, Rose Congrove, sister, Norma Mickey, son, Steven Pickett, nephew, James Mickey, and great-great nephew, Brandon Deem.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to the Frank E. Smith Funeral Home, Dr. John Lloyd MD. and Staff, Hunterwood, Dr. Richard Sielski, and Crestview Skilled Nursing and Rehab.

A Rite of Committal will take place at 11:30AM on Thursday at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, officiated by Father Peter Gideon. Family and friends may call on Thursday from 9AM until 11AM at the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME.
