Helen Lane

Helen Frances Wilcoxon Lane 90 of Lancaster, Ohio passed away on Thursday, August 13, 2015 at Arbors at Carroll.

She was a member of Lutheran Church of Our Savior. She was a Registered Nurse for Fairfield Industrial School for Boys, Training Institute of Central Ohio and an office nurse for Dr. Leonard Sells.

Helen was married in Hope Lutheran Church in Columbus, Ohio to her husband, Harry M. Lane of 59 years. Also surviving are her sons, N. Craig Lane of Medina, Ohio, R. Stacy (Cathy) Lane of Dublin, Ohio and W. Stanford (Zoe) Lane of Mission Viejo, California; 10 grandchildren, Jennifer Lane and George Mills, Brian Lane, Rachel (Charlie) Hoertz, Aaron (Carissa) Lane, Rebecca Lane, Anne Lane, Emily Lane, Madison Lane, Aidan Lane, and Abby Lane; three great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Nelson “Jake” and Maude Wilcoxon, daughter-in-law, Pamela S. Lane, sisters, Jean Kropp, Ethel Shilliday and Nelda “Cherry” Schupp.

Funeral service will be held Monday, August 17, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at Lutheran Church of Our Savior with Rev. Diana Gugel officiating. Burial will follow in Lithopolis Cemetery. Friends may visit Sunday from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 405 N. COLUMBUS ST., LANCASTER, OHIO 43130 and half hour prior to the service at the church on Monday.
