Helen Margaret Blackstone Kull, 97, of Lancaster, passed away on Sunday, January 16, 2011.
Helen was born on December 29, 1913, in Carroll, Ohio to the late Clyde and Mamie Blackstone. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and a former member of Emanuel Lutheran Church. She worked for the Federal A.S.C.S. office in Fairfield County and she was also employed at Deeds Diary.
Helen is survived by her daughter, Janet (Larry) Friend of Lancaster; grandchildren, Brenda (Rod) Starner Phillips of Lancaster, Diane Starner of Lancaster, Dr. J. Kyle (Dr. Janice) Friend of Madison, WI, and Sergeant Joseph H. (Ashley) Friend of Savannah, GA; great grandchildren, Gretchen Phillips, Zachary Phillips, and Daniel Friend; son-in-law, Stanley Starner; and many special nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John E. Kull; daughter, Beverly Starner; her parents; and brothers, Wayne C. Blackstone and Dean S. Blackstone.
Memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday at the Frank E. Smith Funeral Home with Reverend Richard Elsworth officiating. Caring Cremation has taken place. Burial will follow in Carroll Cemetery. Friends may visit from 10:00-11:00 AM Friday at the funeral home.
