Helen E. Hyle, 90, of Lancaster, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 2, 2012.
Helen was a member of St. Peters Lutheran Church, Fairfield County Heritage Association, Order of the Eastern Star - Millersport #301, and the Fairfield Area Humane Society. She worked many years for Lancaster City Schools. She was also an avid antique collector, an animal lover, and enjoyed sewing.
Helen is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Stephen and Linda Hyle of Lewes, Delaware and Thomas and Donna Hyle of El Toro, California; daughter and son-in-law, Sally and David Labus of Lancaster; grandchildren, Kevin and Lisa Hyle, Lori Hyle, Cherilyn and Jason Thallmayer, Chris and Kate Hyle, Pam Hyle, Mark Labus, and Rachel and Noah Klein; great grandchildren, Ashley Hyle and Logan Hyle; and nieces, Susan Headley and Sarah Thornton.
Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Bud Hyle; parents, Waldo and Mary Catherine Brison; and sister, Maxine Grove.
Funeral service will be held at 10:30 am Monday at the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME, Lancaster with Reverend Dr. Emil H. Klatt III officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Rose Cemetery, Lancaster. Family and friends may visit from 2-4 and 6-8 pm Sunday at the funeral home and half an hour prior to the service on Monday.
