Biography

Helen M. Deeds, 90, of Lancaster, passed away on Saturday, December 17, 2011.

Helen was a lifetime member of Emanuel Lutheran Church. She was a 1939 graduate of Berne Union High School.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Relva and Barry Blackstone; grandchildren Alicia (Joel) Maynard, Jason Deeds, and Koren (Mike) Furrey; 6 great grandchildren; brother-in-law, William Moran; sister-in-law, Helen I. Deeds; and several nieces and nephews.

Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Charles H. Deeds; son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Joni Deeds; and sisters and brother-in-law, Velma Moran and Esther and William Gretter.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday at the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME, Lancaster with Reverend Mark Raddatz officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Lancaster. Family and friends may visit 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Donations may be made in Helens memory to Emanuel Lutheran Church, 231 E. Mulberry St, Lancaster, Ohio 43130.
