Heber H. Moberly, Jr., age 88, affectionately known by many as “Mo”, passed away Wednesday, May 24, 2017, at his home, following a brief illness.
Heber was born to Heber Moberly, Sr. And Florence (Joseph) Moberly on August 20, 1928, in Columbus, Ohio. He graduated from Columbus South High School in 1947 and served in the U.S. Army. He retired from National City Bank after 38 years. He spent 20 years in Vero Beach, Florida and has lived at Fairfield Beach for the last 10 years. He dearly loved watching Ohio State Football and family get-togethers at the lake.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Mary Foster; wives, Donna Lester Fellure, Marie Moberly, and Sylvia Shuler Moberly; and grandson, Adam Mills.
Heber is survived by his children, Linda Mills, Gary Moberly, Mark (Michelle) Moberly, Sandy (Steve) Eaton, Ted (Nancy) Moberly, and Tom (Colleen) Moberly; grandchildren, Jeff Mills, Matthew (Melissa), Marla, and Manda Moberly, Jake, Tina, Josh (Felicia), Jeremy, and Katie Eaton, and Tori and Taryn Moberly; great grandchildren, Kelsey McCoy, Adam and Aaron Mills, and Aubree and Blake Eaton; great great grandchildren, Jennah, Lilly, and Ava McCoy.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, May 30, 2017, from 10 am to 12 pm followed by a memorial service at 12 pm at the JOHNSON-SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 207 S. Main St, Baltimore, Ohio 43105. Interment with military rites will follow at 2:30 pm Tuesday at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, Columbus. Caring Cremation has taken place.
