Heather Collins

Heather S. Collins, 53, of Lancaster, passed away on Monday, February 13, 2017, at Fairfield Medical Center. She will be dearly missed.

Heather attended Berne Union High School and graduated from Lancaster High School, class of 1981. She was also a graduate of Ohio University - Lancaster. Heather was an avid reader, enjoyed sewing, floral arranging, and a variety of other interests. She was a Bobcat and a Buckeye fan.

Heather is survived by her husband, John Collins; children, Zach Whitaker and Rachael Whitaker; step daughters, Tabitha (Kim) Jones and Brandi (Ron) Sartoph; 9 grandchildren; mother and father, Linda and Jim Knox; sister, Paige Knox; and aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews, including Tyra Noll.

Heather was preceded in death by her brother, Bruce Knox; and grandparents, Betty and Ray Knox.

Caring Cremation has taken place with the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME, Lancaster. A gathering for family and friends, to celebrate Heather’s life, will be scheduled at a later date. For further details, please contact 740-653-4169.
