Harriett Messer

HARRIETT E. MESSER age 70 of Baltimore, died Sunday May 12, 2013 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was a member of the Trinity United Church of Christ, Baltimore, was a graduate of Liberty Union High School Class of 1960 and retired from DFAS. Harriett loved traveling and camping and was a member of the Motor Coach Association. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Jack Messer; daughters and sons-in-law, April and Mark Wheeler, Gahanna, Lisa and Scott Poling, Baltimore, Cristina and Mike Randall, Pickerington; son and daughter-in-law, Matthew and Pamela Messer, Pataskala; grandchildren, Matthew Wheeler, Zachary Poling, Justin Wheeler, Kaytlyn Poling, Patrick Randall, Katherine Randall and Maggie Randall; sister and brother-in-law, Carol and Mike LeMay, Lancaster; brother and sister-in-law, Gale and Charlotte Hill, Grove City; step sister and brother-in-law, Carolyn and Willis Miller, Baltimore; niece, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by son Bryan Messer and her parents, Chalmer and Nellie Reese Hill. Funeral service will be held Thursday at 11:00 am at the Johnson-Smith Funeral Home, Baltimore with Pastor Bill Lavely officiating. Burial will follow in Basil Memorial Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday from 5-8 pm at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to the Fairfield Medical Center, Palliative Care, 401 N. Ewing St. Lancaster OH 43130 in Harriett’s memory.
