Harriet Mowery

Harriet B. Mowery, age 89, of Lancaster, passed away Wednesday, March 14th, 2012 at Riverside Hospital. She was born on December 12th, 1922 to Ralph and Alice Walters of Circleville. She was a realtor along with her husband, James S. Mowery Sr., who had Barker and Mowery Real Estate in Lancaster, OH. She was an avid golfer and member of the Ladies Golf Association at Lancaster CC. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who enjoyed her family above all things.
She is survived by her son, James S. Mowery, Jr. of Columbus; grandchildren, Lauren (Bart) Gutierrez, of New York City, Jessica Mowery, and Emily (Heath) Turpin of Sarasota, FL; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James S. Mowery Sr.; parents; brothers and sisters, Helen, Festus, Nelson, and Virginia.
A service will take place on Monday morning at 9:30AM at the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 405 N. Columbus St. Lancaster, OH 43130. Burial will follow the service at Forest Cemetery in Circleville. Family and friends may call from 2PM until 5PM on Sunday at the funeral home.
