Harold V. Taylor passed on June 8th at age ninety-six in Fort Myers, Florida. Prior to retiring in Florida, he was a life long resident of Ohio. Harold served proudly and honorably in WW II and is part of the Greatest Generation. Upon discharge from the service, he pursued the career of a professional tile, stone and marble cutter and finisher which he continued doing until he retired.
His work was outstanding and he was known as one of the best masons in Central Ohio. Many homes and commercial buildings have been embellished with his fine work.
He was preceded in death by his parents Alva and Margaret Taylor and spouses Anna Louise Taylor and Leona (Pittman) Taylor. His immediate family consists of Lila (Pittman) Moore, Shirley (Pittman) Benedict, Colleen (Pittman) Brosnan and Donn Pittman along with six grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Also a special friend, Sylvia Gulliford.
Calling hours will be on Saturday, June 14, 2014 from 12:00 to 1:00 p m followed by a memorial service at the Frank Smith Funeral Home in Lancaster, Ohio. Interment will be in Floral Hills Memorial Garden.
