Harold E. Sain 76 of Lancaster, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, March 12, 2024 at his home. He was born on March 17, 1947 in Baltimore, Ohio to the late Charles William and Virginia Sain.

He was a Vietnam veteran serving in the US Army where he was in the Military police and after being discharged served on the Baltimore Police Force.

Harold was retired from Lucent Technologies with 32 years of service and was a member of the American Legion Post #376 and Olivedale Senior Citizens Center.  He was a former member of Fairfield Christian Church and attended The Bridge where he was known for giving out candy to everyone.

Harold loved God, his wife, music, tractors, motorcycles and building fires to sit by and enjoy.

He is survived by his sons, Don (Lisa) Sain and Dan (Becky) Sain all of Lancaster; grandchildren, Dylan (Megan) Sain, Audrey Sain, Sydney Sain and Alyssa Sain; sister, Shirley Clark of Kentucky; half-sister, Betty (Sam) Weaver; half-brother, Paul (Patty) Sain several nieces and nephews along with close friend,

Dave Voris, and many other close friends.  

Harold was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Pat Kay Sain, parents and his sister, Ruthie Ramey.

Caring Cremation® has taken place by the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, LANCASTER OHIO.  A private graveside service will be held at Betzer Cemetery. A Celebration of Life service will be held Friday, March 22, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at The Bridge, 115 West Fifth Avenue, Lancaster, Ohio 43130 with Scott Gibson officiating.

Memorial gifts may be given to Lancaster Veterans Burial Detail, c/o 4043 Carroll-Eastern Rd., Carroll, Ohio 43112 in his memory.
