Grace Reid

Grace P. Reid, age 69, of Lancaster, passed away at Heartland of Fairfield Nursing Center on Tuesday February, 21, 2012. She was born in Baltimore, OH to Charles and Cora Raver on May 27th, 1942. She was a loving mother and devoted her life to caring for her disabled daughter, Amy. She is survived by her children, Nancy Watkins, of Fairfield Beach, Doug Thomas of Lancaster, Dan (Christine) Thomas of Carroll, and Amy Beth Thomas; grandchildren, Charlie Watkins, Laura Braglin, Suzanne Thomas, Matt Watkins, Taylor Thomas, Megan Thomas, and Zach Thomas. 6 great-grandchildren; sister, Maxine Reese, and brothers, Marvin, Tommy, Michael, and Tim Raver; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband, Donald Boid Reid, brothers, Don and Harold Raver, and sister, Dorothy "Dot" Henderly.
A memorial service will take place at the JOHNSON-SMITH FUNERAL HOME in Baltimore at 7PM on Thursday, February, 23rd, 2012. Family and friends may call two hours prior to the service at the funeral home. Caring Cremation has taken place. Memorials can be made in her name to Heartland Hospice.
