Grace Ray Moon

Grace Ray Moon, age 102, of Lancaster, died on Thursday, July 26, 2012, at Carriage Court. She was born to Edward and Eureka Baker on a farm near Rushville on May 22, 1910.

She graduated from Rushville Union High School and Lancaster Business College, and has lived in Lancaster ever since.

Preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Edward R. Ray in 1974 and H. Allen Moon in 1990; and brothers, George Baker and Lewis W. Baker.

She was an office secretary by occupation. She was involved in many community activities. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Fairfield Garden Club, Fairfield Heritage Association, Friends of the Library, and Lancaster Tree Commission.

She is survived by beloved daughter, Carolyn (Tom) Aucreman; step-son, Ralph (Virginia) Moon; grandchildren, Troy Aucreman and Trisha (Scott) Wahl; great grandchildren, Crissa (Matt) Felkner and Steven Wahl; sister-in-law, Jean (McCleary) Baker; nieces and nephews, Tom (Cindy) Baker, Bonnie (Charles) Boystel, Billy (Nancy) Baker, and Becky Baker; and many great nieces and nephews

Visiting hours will be from 2-4 and 6-8 PM Sunday at the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME, Lancaster and one before the service. The funeral will be at 11:00 AM Monday at the funeral home with Reverend Robert McDowell officiating. Cremation will take place later with interment in West Rushville Cemetery.
