Gordon Echard

Gordon “Mick” Echard, age 76 of Lancaster, died Wednesday, May 7th, 2014 at the Fairfield Medical Center. He was born to Harry and Evelyn Fetheroff Echard on May 25th, 1937 in Lancaster. He was a LHS class of 1955 graduate. Mick was in the US ARMY and belonged to the Eagles 2120, American Legion, and the Lancaster Amvets. Mick enjoyed golf and all kinds of sports. He loved his family, especially his special grandkids Dylan and Cooper.
Mick is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Ruby Disbennet; sons, Michael Echard of Massachusetts and Gordon Echard of Lancaster; grandchildren, Cooper and Dylan Echard, Ericka Luidhart, Jeff Echard, and Jennifer Meadows; great-grandchildren, Trenton Echard; sister Harriet Bussard of Lancaster; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his son, Jeff Echard; parents, Harry and Evelyn Fetheroff Echard; and brother, Bill Echard.
Mick will have a service take place at the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME on Monday at 1:30PM, officiated by Pastor Thomas E. Gill. The Lancaster Veteran’s Burial Detail will have a committal service following the service at Floral Hills Memory Garden. Family and friends may call from 11:30AM until 1:30PM on Monday at the funeral home.
