Goldie Bowman

Goldie (Thomas) Bowman, 101, of Lancaster, passed away on Friday, February 16, 2018, at the Pickering House.

Goldie attended the Lancaster First Church of God and New Life Christian Center. She was also a member of Olivedale Senior Citizens. She retired from Jolly Pirate Donuts on Memorial Drive in Lancaster.

Goldie is survived by her sons, Larry (Mary) Thomas and Greg (June) Thomas all of Baltimore; step-son, Orville Bowman of Tennessee; grandchildren, Keith (Betty) Thomas, Debbie (Ron) Gray, Molly (Tom) Stilwell, Cheri Thomas, Brian Thomas, Cindy Thomas, and Andy (Rachel) Thomas; ten great grandchildren; six great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Goldie was preceded in death by her husbands, Robert M. Thomas and Orville R. Bowman; parents, Sam and Mary (Seitz) Wiggins; sisters, Irma, Mahayla, Agnes, Pat, Dolly, and Mildred; and brothers, Wayne, Melvin, Virgil, Boyden, and George.

Funeral service for Goldie will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday at the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME, Lancaster with Pastor Karl Hartmann and Pastor William P. Means officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Lancaster. Family and friends may visit from 5 to 8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.

Donations may be made in memory of Goldie to FairHoPe Hospice - Pickering House, 282 Sells Rd, Lancaster, Ohio 43130.
