Glen Boyd Durst, 95, of Lancaster, died on Thursday, July 14, 2011, at The Pickering House.
Glen was the owner of the Charleston Construction Company Inc. in St. Albans, West Virginia. Glen worked 50 years in heavy highway construction
Glen is survived by his son, Michael A. (Mary Anne) Durst of Dublin, Ohio; daughters, Glennda A. Street of Lancaster, Sonja C. Durst of Lancaster, Karen S. (Richard) Wallace of Lancaster, Jacqueline K. (Barry) Tackett of Carroll, and Deborah D. (William) Weber or Morgantown, Pennsylvania; 12 grandchildren; 2 step grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; 4 step great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Glen was preceded in death by his wife, Pearl Anna Ridenour Durst; parents, Kinsey and Lydia Durst; 2 sisters; 2 brothers; and son-in-law, Richard Street.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Monday at the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME, Lancaster, with Pastor Cheryl Foulk officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Lancaster. Friends may visit from 2-4 and 6-8 pm Sunday at the funeral home.
