Gladys Mattox

In loving memory of Gladys L. Mattox, age 92, passed away on July 9, 2012 at Fairfield Medical Center at 3:42 am. She was born September 20th, 1919 in Perry County.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James R. Mattox, Sr.; three of her children, James R. Mattox, Jr., Marilyn Sue Matthews, and William Russell Mattox; daughter-in-law, Charlotte Lou Mattox; grandsons, Billy and Milton; great grandson, Russell; her father and mother; all of her brothers, and one of her sisters.

Gladys is survived by one sister, Nancy Jane Ervin; her five remaining children: Geraldine (Mattox) Kent, husband Ron of Florida; Carl Mattox, wife Judy of Logan; Donna (Mattox) Purtee, husband Stanley; Sharon (Mattox) Davis, husband James; and Ned Richard Mattox, wife Vicki all of Lancaster; grandchildren, Nora Seth, James Snoke, Donald Kent, Angie Foster, Melissa Stoughton, Andrew Mattox, Carla Trego, Ginny Smathers, Sherry Mount, Tim Mattox, Ronda Highley, Keith Thomas, Ted and Jason Davis, Erica Wentz, Misty Colopy, Wendy Mathews, Stacy Grim, Nick and Jordan Mattox; and many great and great great-grandchildren.

Caring Cremation has taken place with the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME, Lancaster. Burial will be in Floral Hills Memory Gardens, Lancaster.
