Gladys Foster

Gladys R. Foster, age 98, died on July 17th, 2013. She was born on August 11th, 1914 in Pataskala, to her parents, Olney and Ollie Reef Harter. She was a mother, chauffer, the best cook in the world never leaving anyone hungry, an avid gardener and farmer, and will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her son, Dale A. (Judy) Foster, of Lancaster; daughters, Mary Lee (Robert) Carpenter of Mt. Vernon, Marjorie A. (Richard) Nihiser of Logan, Betty Jane (Steve) Shingler of Rushville, Marilyn (Gary) Hiles of Sugar Grove; 15 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Wilbur Foster; sister, Nellie Ford; and brother, George Harter.
A service will take place on Monday at 10:30AM at the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME. Entombment will follow the service at Fairview Mausoleum. Family and friends may call from 12PM until 4PM on Sunday at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service on Monday.
