Gladys Campton

Gladys M. Campton, age 81, of Lancaster, died Tuesday July 2nd, 2013, at the Pickering House. She was born on September 12th, 1931 in Rockbridge, to her parents, Elmer and Nellie Pratt Campbell. She was a member of the First Church of God. She was an avid quilter and a wonderful baker.
Gladys is survived by her daughters, Vicki (Kim) Smith and Joyce (Jon) Oliver all of Lancaster; grandchildren, Mark (Destiny) Smith and Autumn (Jimmy) Kincaid; 6 great grandchildren; 2 sister-in-laws Elizabeth Campbell and Carrie Campbell; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald E. Campton; parents; brothers, Charles, William, Alfred, Mark, John, Harold, Warren, and Fred Campbell.
The family would like to give great thanks to both Dr. Mark Aebi and the Pickering House for all the wonderful care that they received.
A service will take place at 10AM on Saturday at the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME, officiated by pastor William Means. Burial will follow the service at Maple Grove Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 5 until 8PM on Friday and one hour prior to the service. Memorials can be made in Glady’s name to the Pickering House 282 Sells Rd. Lancaster, 43130.
