Biography

GERTRUDE S. STANLEY age 97, ( who would have been 98 in one month) of Lancaster formerly of Dayton, died Monday March 4, 2013, at the Pickering House.

She was a licensed LPN and a member of the Parkview Nazarene Church, Dayton.

She is survived by her daughters, Marlene Skinner with whom mother lived, Lancaster and Lona Seal, Nixa, MO.; grandchildren, Mindy (Tom) Haning, Lancaster, Marla (Bob) Wirthmiller, Nixa Mo., and Brent Seal, CO; 7 great grandchildren; and 3 great great grandchildren; brother, Arthur Fish, FL. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Stanley; son-in-law, Larry L. Skinner; and 8 brothers and sisters.

The family would like to thank Hospice for all their gentle caring, support and love they gave Gertrude and her family.

A graveside service will be held Thursday at 1:30 pm at the Maple Grove Cemetery with Rev. Mel Turex officiating. Friends may call Thursday from 12:30 – 1:00 pm at the Frank E. Smith Funeral Home, Lancaster. Memorials may be given to The Pickering House in Gertrude’s memory.
