Geraldine "Gerri" Ailes

Geraldine “Gerri” Ailes, age 85, passed away August 13, 2015, at her home in Lancaster. She formerly was a resident of Newark, where she and her late husband Walter, resided for 46 years.
Gerri was born to the late, Fred and Esther Gibson Simmons, on April 13, 1930, at High Coal, WV. Gerri was a loving wife to her husband, Walter Ailes, for 47 years and a loving mother to her children. She enjoyed and attended Grace Baptist Church in Newark.
She is survived by her sons, Delbert (Flossie) Westfall of Newark, Harry Morris of Pine Grove, KY, and Bud Morris of Halethorp, MD; daughter, Dianna (Mitchell) Nusser of Lancaster; grandchildren, Deborah Tipple, Richard Tipple Jr., Whitney (William) Selby, Jason (Ashley) Nusser, Eugene Thibodaux, Verna Hunter, Johnda (Max) Miles, and Teresa Westfall ; 14 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Caring Cremation™ has taken place through the Frank E. Smith Funeral Home. A celebration of life memorial service will take place at a later date.
