George Thrush Bingo George 74 the Oldest Hippie in Lancaster, passed away Saturday, June 22, 2013 at The Ohio State Wexner Medical Center. He will be warmly remembered for his white pony tail, bushy mustache, and his wonderful gift of gab.
He was the first employee of Lancaster Bingo and the first retiree. He loved all his customers down on the river. He enjoyed taking care of his beautiful home, traveling to Maui, all kinds of music, especially Rock and Roll. He loved his daily YMCA routine and made it special to a lot of people, he will be sorely missed.
He is survived by his wife, Beth; daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Greg Young of Washington Court House, Ohio; two grandchildren, Ethan and Jordy Young; his many friends and special friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Glenn and Nellie Thrush.
A special thanks to John Sigafoos for all his love and support he gave during Georges illness.
Caring Cremation® has taken place by the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 405 N. COLUMBUS ST., LANCASTER, OHIO 43130. Family and friends may visit the Celebration of Life, Friday, June 28, 2013 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
