George Robert Taylor

George Robert Taylor, age 85 of Lancaster, passed away on November 24th 2022. He was born to the late Mont Edward and Virginia Fletcher Taylor, in Athens, OH on July 28, 1937.  He was a 7th Day Adventist who loved a bargain.  He enjoyed playing horseshoes in Bremen where he was known as quite the ringer.  He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and his love for life and amazing personality will be greatly missed.

He was survived by his children, Debra K. Willis and Tommy Neal (Becky) Taylor; grandchildren, Carson, Tommy Jr., Michelle, Melinda, and Mikey; two great grandchildren; sister, Alice Lutz; brother, William “Bill” Taylor; several nieces and nephews; special friend, Rhonda; and many more friends.

George was preceded in death by his parents; son, George Taylor Jr.; infant siblings, Johnny and Joane; sisters, Ruth Ann Taylor, Mary Ellen Claffey, and Lilly Bailey; and brothers, Everett Taylor and Mont D. Taylor.

The family would like to thank Hospice of Central Ohio, and especially nurse Chris, for their loving care of George.

Caring Cremation™ has taken place. A memorial service will take place at 11AM on Monday, December 12, 2022 at the Frank E. Smith Funeral Home.  Family and friends may visit one hour prior at the funeral home, from 10AM until 11AM Monday.  Burial of his cremains will take place on Tuesday December 13th at 11 AM at Maple Grove Cemetery in Baltimore, OH.  Online condolences can be made at www.funeralhome.com
