George Albert Scheidegger, Sr. 82 of Lancaster, Ohio passed away Friday, November 27, 2020 at Fairfield Medical Center.
He was a retired roofer with Schottenstein Investments. He had been a volunteer fireman with Liberty Twp. Fire Department nd he enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, puzzle books, and just eating popcorn.
George is survived by his sons, George (Tammy) Scheidegger, Jr. of Wisconsin, Don (Sandy) Scheidegger of Baltimore, Ohio and Daniel (Amanda) Scheidegger of Lancaster, Ohio; daughters, Chelsea (Chris) Bitler of Pataskala, Ohio and Alison Greene of Lancaster, Ohio; 20 grandchildren, several great grandchildren; step-children, Bob (Amy) Miller and Gary (Heidi) Miller all of Lancaster, Ohio and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mona Lee Scheidegger, step-son, Jerry Miller, brothers and sisters-in-law, Kenneth (Florence) and Charles (Sarah) Scheidegger, sister and brother-in-law, Esther and Carrol Leach.
Funeral service will be held Wednesday, December 2, 2020 at 12 Noon in the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 405 N. COLUMBUS ST., LANCASTER, OHIO 43130. A live broadcast of the funeral service will be hosted on Wednesday, December 2, 2020 at Noon on the Frank E. Smith Funeral Home and Crematory Facebook page. Burial will follow in Grandview Cemetery, Bremen, Ohio. Friends may visit 2 hours prior to the service at the funeral home on Wednesday. In accordance with State mandates, COVID Protocols including facial coverings and social distancing will be followed.
