George "Fred" May Sr., age 74, of Baltimore, passed away on February 11, 2013 at his residence surrounded by his family. He was born on February 22, 1938 to Leah and Dominic May in Glenford, OH. He worked at Huddles and also the Liberty Union Schools. He was an amazing Joke teller who loved his family deeply.
He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Betty May of Baltimore; children, Rick (Melissa) May, Anna (Rick) Prickett all of Baltimore, Shirley Drumm of Plain City, Leah (Matt) Armstrong of Baltimore, Freddie (Angie) May of Reynoldsburg; grandchildren, Sara (Ryan) Heavner, Benjamin (Jaclyn) May, Jordan (Nikki) Prickett, Nick and Ryan Mack, Zach Armstrong, and Cohen May; and four great grandchildren; brothers, William J. and James F. May; sister, Agnes Layman; Brother-in-law, Ed (Jane) Green; and sister-in-law, Frances (James) Tucker.
He was preceded in death by his parents; infant daughter; brother, Johnny May; and sister, Marjorie May.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in Fred's name to the FairHoPe Hospice 282 Sells Rd. Lancaster, OH 43130
A service will take place on Friday at 10AM at the JOHNSON-SMITH FUNERAL HOME, officiated by the Rev. Jill Dunlap. Burial will follow the services at Floral Hills Memory Gardens.
