George "Darb" "Darb" Hewitt

George “Darb” Hewitt, age 60 of Columbus, died May 29th, 2016 at OSU Medical Center. He was born on August 5th, 1957 in Lancaster. He was currently working at S&G Manufacturing where he enjoyed his job of making cabinets. Darb was an avid fisherman who enjoyed riding his motorcycle. He also loved spending time with his family and friends and will be greatly missed.

Darb is survived by his sons, George Jr., Brian, Mark, and Joey Hewitt; mother, Norma Hewitt; grandchildren, George, Lily, and Oliver Hewitt; siblings, Saundra (Roger) Collins, Roger “Fritz” Hewitt, Dee (Rodney) Swingle, Mike Hewitt, and Teresa (Jim) Ruff; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews; aunt, Margaret Hewitt; and cousins, Keith and Kirk Hewitt and Kelly Richards.

He is preceded in death by his daughter, Amy Hewitt; father, Roger “Wayne” Hewitt; grandmother, Margaret Hewitt; uncle, Keith Hewitt; and aunt, Saundra Hewitt.

A funeral service will take place on Saturday, June 2nd at 7pm at the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME, officiated by Rev. Diana Gugel. Caring Cremation™ will follow the service.
