Geneva Huff Raver, passed away Sunday, on the day of our Lord, November 9, 2014 in the Fairfield Medical Center in Lancaster, OH following an extended illness. She was born February 7, 1923 in Naples, KY, daughter of Allen and Margaret Sark Huff. She was proceeded in death by husbands: Joe Stewart of Ashland and Gerald Raver of Baltimore OH. She also was proceeded in death by her brothers Estill Huff of Naples, KY and Arvil Huff of Shirley, IN and sisters Rozetta Huff of Naples, KY and Thelma Huff Boley of Columbus, OH.
She is survived by her loving daughter Deborah Stewart of Baltimore, OH; as well as sisters, Opal Huff Clarke of Ashland, KY, Violet Cook Adkins of Old Fields, WV; and brother Hershel and his wife Halcy Huff of Naples, KY; Geneva will also be sorely missed by her many nieces and nephews as well as their children and many friends.
In life, Geneva was a loving and doting wife, mother and friend.
There will be a viewing at Johnson-Smith Funeral Home in Baltimore, OH on Wednesday, November 12, 2014 from 4-6 pm with the Rev Michael McManus from Walnut Creek Baptist Church officiating. In addition, there will be a second viewing at 10 am Thursday, November 13, 2014 at Brush Creek Freewill Baptist Church in Naples, KY. A funeral service will follow at 11 am by the Rev David Huff, Geneva's nephew. Burial service to follow nearby in Kirby Flats Cemetary. Carman Funeral Home in Flatwoods, KY will provide arrangements. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be sent to the "Geneva Raver Memorial Fund" at the People's Bank 120 N Main St., Baltimore, OH 43105 for Deborah Stewart's long term care.
