Gary Dean Henderson 70 of Lancaster, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at his home.
He was a Lancaster High School graduate class of 1965. He was born to the late Arthur and Wavelene Cheshier Henderson in Lancaster, Ohio.
Gary was a Vietnam veteran serving in the US Army and worked for Anchor Hocking Glass Corporation. He later went onto to retire from the D.F.A.S. as an accountant in Columbus. Gary was a life member of the Amvets and also a member of the American Legion Post #11.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Carol; two brothers, Eugene “Cupcake” Henderson and David (Janice) Henderson all of Lancaster, Ohio; two step-children, Jack Hupp of Laurelville, Ohio and Natalie (Robert) Neff; two grandchildren, Jacob (Kristen) Neff, Michaela (Sean) Chapman; niece and nephew, Chris Henderson and Jamie (Kent) DeLong; two great nieces and nephew, Annie and Emilie DeLong and Nathanael DeLong all of Lancaster, Ohio.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Robert Lee Henderson and sister-in-law, Donna Mohler Henderson.
Friends may visit Friday, September 15, 2017 from 5-8 p.m. at the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 405 N. COLUMBUS ST., LANCASTER, OHIO 43130. Caring Cremation® to follow. Burial will be held at a later date in Forest Rose Cemetery, Lancaster, Ohio.
