Garold "Whitey" Emerson Clark of Millersport, died Jan. 29th, 2021 at his residence. He was born to the late James and Chyrlesa (Welch) Cochenour on August 25, 1928 in Columbus. He was in the Korean War in the U.S. Army. He was an amazing drywall finisher who retired and surrounded himself with family and friends. He served his country and was a lifetime member of the Baltimore VFW. He loved John Wayne, the Ohio State Buckeyes, the Cleveland Cavs and Browns. He loved watching the grandkids sporting events and had many fond memories at the Fairfield Fish and Game. He enjoyed his horses, horse racing, and all animals. His favorite pastime was playing cards with friends. "Whitey" was always there for anyone and will be greatly missed.
He is survived by children, Cheryl Clark, Pam (Mike) Grant, and Doug (Laurie) Clark; grandchildren, Mindy, Talenia, Tara, Nicole, Michael, Jonathan, and Jacob; great-grandchildren, Steven, Phillip, James, Haley, Lydia, Kayla, Zach, Amberly, and Brighten; great-great-grandchildren, Alayna and Raven Rose; sister,Wilma Nadine Larabee and several nieces and nephews.
Garold was preceded in death by his wife Geraldine Minkos Clark; parents; son, Donald Clark; and sister, Thelma Jean McCandlish.
A graveside service with Veteran Honors will take place on Tuesday Feb 2nd, 2021 at Noon at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens. Arrangements have been handled through the Johnson-Smith funeral home. Memorials can be made in Garolds name to the Wounded Warriors, War Veterans, Humane Society or the A.S.P.C.A. Online condolences can be made at www.funeralhome.com.
