Garnet Y. Sewell

Garnet Y. Sewell, 89, of Lancaster, passed away on November 7, 2021. She was born in Lancaster to the late George and Huldah Yantes on May 28, 1932.

Garnet enjoyed tending to her garden and flowers.

She is survived by her daughters, Melinda Yantes and Regina (William Silbereis) Center; son, Joseph (Heather) Sewell; grandchildren, Mark Starkey, Sean Starkey, Andrew Center, and Timothy Silbereis; several great grandchildren, and sisters, Elva Martens, Marilyn (Charles) Stuckey, and Marjorie (Ted) Shugert.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Leisa Starkey; brothers, Beryl, Francis, Mervin and Leonard Yantes; and her parents.

A funeral service will take place on Thursday, November 11, 2021 at 1 PM in the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 405 N. Columbus St., Lancaster, OH 43130. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens. Family and friends may visit from 11 AM until the time of the service on Thursday.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lancaster Parks and Recreation Department, 1507 E Main Street, Lancaster, OH 43130.
