He was a real estate agent for Fox Reality then later for Scarlet and Gray Reality. He was a member of Fifth Avenue Church of Christ, a local musician playing in the Main Street Band. He enjoyed woodworking and had a passion for old cars and a special sense of humor.
Roger is survived by his wife, Victoria Sargent; son, Ian (Jessica) Sargent of Pleasantville, Ohio; three grandchildren, Christina Sargent, Austin Beers and Tyler Sargent; step-sons, Ryan (Nichi) Wagner of Baltimore, Ohio, Nathan (Kari) Wagner of Pleasantville, Ohio, Evan (Marissa)Wagner and Brandon (Amy) Wagner all of Lancaster, Ohio, Jarrod (Friend Katy) Stemen of Sugar Grove, Ohio and Lucas (Brandee) Stemen of Lancaster, Ohio; seven step grandchildren; brother, Paul (Trina) Sargent of Massillon, Ohio; nephews, Matthew and Mike Sargent and cousin, Albert “Sonny” Parsons along with other cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George Edward and Pauline Sargent, aunts and uncles.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, June 29, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. at Fifth Avenue Church of Christ with Pastor Brad Seevers officiating. Caring Cremation® is being handled by the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 405 N. COLUMBUS ST., LANCATSER, OHIO 43130. Friends may visit 1 hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday. Burial will be held in Elmwood Cemetery at a later date.
